Are you looking for a Hypnotherapist in Allington?
Welcome to Reform Hypnotherapy. I’m Rebecca and I’m a Hypnotherapist in Allington, providing psychological support to adults.
If you’re searching for a hypnotherapist in Allington, I offer personalised support for your mental wellbeing using hypnotherapy alongside Cognitive Behavioural Techniques (CBT).
Hi, I’m Rebecca. As an experienced hypnotherapist in Allington, I’m passionate about helping people improve their mental health and regain a greater sense of emotional wellbeing.
My journey into hypnotherapy began after seeing first-hand the remarkable, life-changing difference it made for a member of my own family. Alongside this personal experience, I bring over a decade of professional experience as a qualified Mental Health Nurse. This has given me the knowledge, compassion and confidence to support clients through even their most difficult, distressing or challenging experiences.
Today, I bring together my clinical background and specialist training as a Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapist to provide supportive, personalised therapy and practical tools to help you move forward and thrive.
Qualified Hypnotherapist in Allington | Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy
My approach as a hypnotherapist in Allington is informed by both professional training and extensive experience in mental health care. I have completed a Level 5 Higher Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy with the UK College of Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy, with the qualification approved by the British Psychological Society.
I also hold a BSc (Hons) in Mental Health Nursing and have spent more than 10 years working directly with people across a variety of clinical settings. My background in nursing, combined with my specialist hypnotherapy training, enables me to offer an informed, compassionate and individual approach to helping clients make positive changes.
What Is Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy (CBH)?
Choosing the right type of support can feel confusing, especially when you’re faced with unfamiliar therapy approaches and terminology. As a hypnotherapist in Allington, I aim to make the process straightforward, helping you understand your options and find an approach that feels right for you.
As a hypnotherapist in Allington, I use Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy (CBH), an approach that combines the principles of cognitive behavioural therapy with the therapeutic use of hypnosis. It is grounded in psychological theory and supported by clinical research, rather than relying on mystical or exaggerated ideas about hypnosis.
CBH is not about someone else taking control or simply making your problems disappear. Instead, therapy is a collaborative process. We work together to understand the patterns that may be keeping you stuck and develop practical strategies to help you make meaningful and lasting changes.
What to Expect from Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy
Your First Step Towards Positive Change
Starting therapy does not need to feel daunting. I offer a free 15-minute telephone consultation, giving you the opportunity to tell me a little about what you’re looking for, ask any questions and get a feel for whether working together feels right, with no obligation to book.
If you choose to continue, we’ll begin with an Initial Consultation. During this 60-minute session, I’ll take the time to understand your individual circumstances, what you would like to achieve and how Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy could support you. As a hypnotherapist in Allington, I believe it is important that you feel listened to, understood and comfortable throughout the process, as a strong therapeutic relationship can play an important part in successful therapy.
Session fees:
Initial Consultation: £50 for 60 minutes
Follow-up Treatment Sessions: £80 for 60 minutes
At the beginning of your therapy, I generally recommend booking sessions weekly, ideally on the same day and at a consistent time. This can help establish a regular routine and maintain progress as we work towards your goals.
As therapy progresses
As you begin to feel more confident using the techniques we develop together, we can gradually increase the time between appointments. This gives you the opportunity to put what you have learned into practice in everyday situations, while knowing that you still have support available to help you work through any challenges that arise.
As your hypnotherapist in Allington, I combine open, practical conversations with targeted hypnosis during our sessions. The hypnotic part of the session can help you practise and strengthen the strategies we have discussed, helping them become more familiar and easier to apply outside of therapy.
Your progress will also involve some simple exercises between appointments. These are not traditional homework tasks. Instead, they are practical opportunities to reflect, experiment with new techniques and build on the work we have done together.
I will also introduce you to self-hypnosis techniques that you can use independently, along with personalised audio recordings to support your practice between sessions and at home.
Testimonials
One of the most rewarding aspects of my work is seeing clients develop a greater sense of confidence, calm and control as they make meaningful changes in their lives. I’m incredibly thankful to the clients who have chosen to share their experiences and the difference therapy has made for them. Their kind words provide an honest insight into what you can expect when working with me, from compassionate support and a personalised approach to the positive changes that therapy can help you achieve.

Some conditions require additional consideration and discussion or are not recommended for hypnotherapy. These include severe clinical depression with thoughts of self harm or suicide, people with a diagnosis of a personality disorder, psychosis, migraine or epilepsy.
How many sessions will I need?
This is an understandable question that many people have when they access therapy. It is difficult to give specifics because everyone is different, however most people average between 6 and 12 sessions. We will generally begin meeting weekly, and then as things progress, and to give you an opportunity to begin to implement the things we have discussed, we may move to less frequent sessions.
What does a typical session look like?
Sessions are made up of a mix of talking, which is based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and hypnosis to enhance and strengthen the techniques. Some sessions may have little to no hypnosis and others may utilise hypnosis more frequently. However, I will always be led by you as to what you find most helpful. I will also provide you with audios to listen to in between sessions to further enhance the work we are doing in sessions towards your goals.
What are the factors that make hypnotherapy successful?
Having an open mind, being committed to the process and motivated to achieve your goal are important factors in how successful therapy will be. More importantly though, research has consistently shown that the client-therapist relationship is the most important predictor of success in therapy. This is why I offer the free 15 minute call and the reduced rate face to face Initial Consultation so that we can meet and you can see how you feel before you fully commit to sessions.
